Poems about Healthy Sexual Self-Image After Abuse

The following poems aim to inspire and encourage sexual healing, healthy sex and lovemaking, most especially for women but also for men so affected.  Regaining sexual wholeness after abuse of any kind, including sexual abuse, can be difficult. The disconnection of the body, the deprivation of knowing what healthy touch is, or connecting to the body self can feel dirty, scary, cut off and out of bounds. Healthy sexual intimacy may be with yourself, or a love partner.

The discarded children of trauma in many of us can heal our wounded sexuality. It is a learning process, gaining wisdom about healthy personal boundaries of self and others.

The mind, body, spirit unification is to be treated with gentle respect, as the level of comfort to enjoy pleasure of oneself sexually returns or in some cases felt on this level of understanding for the first time. Whatever the level is for the individual, it is a part of the sexual healing process and is rightfully ours to own.

With gentle guidance (possibly by a professional trained in this field) in conjunction with the love for oneself, it is a natural manifistation that evolves bodily, where one can eliminate the numbness from the body parts and reconnect with healthy sexual stimulation, so that we can become whole once more.

Sex
by HaliJo Webster

Pheromones of desire
discharge of honey a milky way
temporary nymphomania
salaciousness and naughtiness
oh so lusciously power hungry for
the OH!

Biological urges
beasts within
that other animals act out in zoos, in wild.
why do some turn eyes away at mating season?
Is it to give the four-legged animals privacy?
Funny placing our projection that it is required.
Or maybe eyes turn away from embarassment?

Do you bump and grind, sweat and moan with
lights on?
lights off?
Do you ask for what your pleasure is?
Do you know?
Orgasm? How many?
Do you pleasure yourself?
Show him
Show her
Show yourself
be one with your body
allow animal desire to guide.

This is a part of humanity
a luxury
a sweet endeavour.
69
a long wet drink
a hard stiff ride
a soft thrust in dewy petals
faster
slower
spoon
top
bottom
finger swirl
tongue twirl
animal magnetism
appetites coupling
feet tingling...
OH
explosion!
Breathing together,
Heart beating as one
Ahhhhhhhhhh...

Healthy "O"
by HaliJo Webster

I write this to proclain my right to have a healthy orgasm, a love letter to the act of
self-pleasing "masturbation"

A body that blocked this sensual right
with toxins, hates, protectiveness, fear, hurts
is now free...
my orgasms are free!!!!!!!!!!

Good day to you my love!
My body, my love.
OH! the way you hold me after a wet affair,
your hum softly quiets and excites
my physicalities and destructive self doubts of ol'.
Your incomprehensible bell-ringing
sends me over indescribable roller beams,
a glow with tingle wave.

Your touch tickles more than just my fancy!
Your in-tune-ness with my direction
allows the dance of free willing lubrication
of nature to take its welcoming place.

Your excitement wets the sometimes dryness of age,
allowing the youth filled years
back to my loins and the older self
to continue the wisdomatic
explosive journey
thru self and physical awareness to let go!

Hello my friend,
Hello orgasm. Hello.
