I could Stop Here!
by HaliJo Webster

A teacher
not, not
a student
not, not
a being
not,not
societal's jaded victim
not, not
survivor, victim, warrior
not, not
observer of self
not, not
awe of nature
not, not
out of pandoras box
not, not
rose of thorns
not,not
giver, receiver
not, not
gentle, guidancier
not, not
confused and empathetic
not, not
alive and learning
not, not
I COULD stop here... .
but chose to NOT!

Burnt Offerings
by HaliJo Webster

Hand in hand we strive
to cross roads of what was.
We grow strong holding torches, high above our crowns,
gathered together our forces are un-stoppable!

We rise above the cages of our 'thens'
with the stories to throw to others,
not responsible for who catches them.

We carry extra devices and will toss them again
as reminders of the path they too can take
but, it is they/you/ I,
that chooses to
break free
of the chains that bind!

Here, I stand, a sun-drenched glacier
melting from the coldness I once knew.
Blanketed warmth from the golden spiral of identity.
My spirit is awake!
Rising above that
which I felt, tasted and purged.
I am free
to feel safe!

Formless
by HaliJo Webster

I know of this place that
is not, not
it is, is
free of the material
so light
so much light
a stillness
a hint of life
but after life
breathless
yet a distinct vital spark
no meaning
yet is the essence
could be a lie?
could I dis-believe my own experience?
I could not
for it is
awakening

all truth.

Snap Crackle Pop
by HaliJo Webster

The dance that sends lightening voltages
of energetic spazmic waves of heat
throughout my entire body
mind drifting drifting drifiting
elevated!
magical fire dancing snapping cracking
popping!
sources of sourcery? energy?
neccesity?ahhhhh mysteriously
as life comes the fire
is the dance
of the spiral
snap, crackle, pop!

Silence
by HaliJo Webster

Rifts in one tide,
in the silence there I am.
My stillness speaks to me.
I wish and strive for the silence as I
walk, talk, eat, breathe and sleep.

Silence is freedom!
From all my ailments.
It arrives from being
here.
Silence dances with my being.
It heals my discovering of humanity
and it's ill forms and unconscious acts of ignorance, ill patience and
mindlessness,
I am guilty and burdened with.
In this silence space and what seems to be un timely moments of mind travel.
A vacation from the matter of the world of which I wish to be transformed back to the golden
link of oneness

Freedom Is Silence
by HaliJo Webster

There I am, when I am silent!
You are also with my being, in this space of silence.
Minds one.
Lets dance!
In this silence....
We are free
            We are one!

A Vision
by HaliJo Webster

I vision a day where we are hand in hand
no fights or battles
no old survivors to turn warrior
no kings or queens
just one great link
undivided by the chaos
we attach to
we are much more than this
we are human till dust

and one again

Tree
by HaliJo Webster

Another day and your alive, green reaching out and laughing!
Pinkish hue behind you, powder blue contrasting magnificent glory of a new day
We are one
White caps on your limbs sleeping and pulsating in the wind
Others extensions, still but breathing.
Oh, glory day!
Another day older we arrived together here and now
I see you not as of yesterday
not as of tomorrow but,
here right now,

We are one.

Advice From A Tree
by HaliJo Webster

if chipmunks should rattle your branches
with frenzy and noise
let them pass
if a storm arrives and shakes the snow from your limbs
this too shall pass
if the chirping of birds gossip is louder than the ones who sing
stand still for both teachers
the gossip will soon weary
and the singing song birds will hover closer
enjoy the music
if the ground you stand on becomes
cracked and voided
know that soon the rains will come
heed the lesson(s) in the stillness of the cracks you have fallen
drink from that
and you will have strength
to change your growth
and will grow a new set of leaves
not so green but from evolutionary wakefulness
1000 Christmas trees may stand with tradition
all lit up
your stance without decor is the only true light
if your roots feel tired and achy
then rest and be at peace
allow the sun moon wind rain and earth
to carry you as you have carried them

We are all one!

I Am Grown Up.. What Shall I Fear?
by HaliJo Webster

I am a grown up...
What shall I fear?

The tall adults of yesteryear.
Bringing me the gifts they own that hurt.

They know not what they do.
In the dis-ease I could fly high over the pain...
However; I would get lost in the denial
of facing the guides for which
I must meet,
to be on the actual flight to freedom.

Emotionally Capable
by HaliJo Webster

I wish for women freindships
to encourgage my fire
and be delighted when I succeed at my qifts.
Not to compete with my accomplished goals
or "borrow" or betray my visions.
To acknowledge my gifts and rarity.

I wish to have my relations toiled and nurtured
with as much water and nourishment that I care unto you.

This emotional unavailability is not so
different from my parents and my partners.

I realize this deficiency for connection
to beings is not gender specific.
Or is it that we are raised believing we
must not trust one another
and stay forever close enemies?

I am ready for freindships who wish for
meaning-filled conversation and honesty
with loyal ties to bind.

Do you exsist?.

Past
by HaliJo Webster

You are there.
Still hurting.
Last week, I have difficulty remembering,
yet...
I remember...
30 years plus some ago,
AS IF!
yes, as if it were yesterday.

If I let go of you, my familiar memories,
That which are so much a part of me.
Who will I be?
What will I use to make my decisions?

I will be so empty...
so alone!
So free!!!!!!

How?
How can I let go?

It would leave me with the NOW!
And what am I???... Now?
What am I without all that was?
How could I just "BE"?

Why... do I fear that?
Why... does that seem so unfamiliar?
That quiet!
That place!
That unfamilier space I have not visited
since my arrival on earth.

Letting go of the past... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Dare I imagine?
What would that be like?
Can I be quiet long enough
to experience no haunts or voices from the past imagery?
To just breath and be in the NOW!
That fresh new-ness of the NOW!

I am privileged to be responsible in this time and place,
to make my own choices
NOW
I'm free!
